Meet Cassandra and Enter the Fantasy
Hi everyone! I'm CC, aka Cassandra Curtis. :)
Glad to be here! Thought I'd start off with an introduction.
I'm a former reporter, photojournalist and critic, who sat down
one day and realized what I really wanted was to write fiction.
Then I read my first erotic romance last year and thought to myself--whoa!
This is hot!
I think I blushed the whole time. More purchases soon followed.
And my hubby smiled a lot more. LOL
Something inside me said to give fiction another try, but this time, focus on
writing an erotic romance. I entered the Amber Quill Press Heat Wave Contest
back in January of this year. No one was more shocked than I was when I won!
In fact, as I sat scanning the results posted in March, I thought–wow, a lot of women
I know made it. Cool. I really was excited for them.
I sighed, thought to myself, ah well...better luck next time.
Then it hit me, the title of one of the winners was the same as mine! I went
back to the AQP website where the winners were announced and checked
it again. OMG, I won, I won! Oh yeah, I do alot of *smacks forehead*
and *duh* moments. I like to think it keeps me grounded. :)
The result is my first published novella, Cup of Fate, slated for release June
11, 2006 from Amber Quill Press.
Part paranormal fantasy, part speculative fiction, and all hot, if I do say so myself! My hero, Lugh ap Kernan is masterful and romantic. He kept at me...making for quite a few sleepless nights. ;)
If anyone is interested I do have a contest running now on my website:
http://www.cassandracurtis.com. All you have to do is "Enter the Fantasy" and
follow the directions by going to my blog, then enter your guess by leaving a comment. Pretty simple.
My bi-monthly newsletter (http://www.cassandra_curtis_author_newsletter-subscribe@yahoogroups.com)
keeps you up to date on new releases, excerpts, my upcoming author chats and contests.
In fact, just by subscribing to my newsletter, you'll be entered in a drawing to win a
gen-u-wine fortune telling tea cup, similar to the one in my story, Cup of Fate. I say similar since The Cup of Fate is a one-of-a-kind magickal teacup. One sip from it and your life will never be the same again!
I look forward to hearing from readers and fellow authors.

Hi, C.C. Wishing you much success on your upcoming release.
LOL. How adorable. Well, it makes for a good story now, even if you did suffer a moment's sadness.
You're one hell of a writer, Ms. CC. ;)
Congratulations, Cassandra. Only a few more days...
