Morning coffee, dreaming dogs, and two new reviews
Saturday is a day of blessed freedom. I especially love Saturday mornings. For some reason, I can hop out of bed at six a.m. and be ready to conquer my corner of the world. Not so on any other day of the week.
My world is quiet on Saturday morning. The dog seems to know the difference - I think the lack of alarm clock buzz speaks to him as it speaks to me. He's usually in my office waiting for me when I arrive, coffee cup in hand. Right now he's chasing deer in his sleep, his feet and lips twitching. Like me, it's probably a younger spirit version of himself that runs in his dreams.
I signed up to blog here at the AQP blog this morning without any clear idea of what, exactly, I'd blog about. OPEN ROADS released two weeks ago, so I blogged about that when it happened. But the universe provides, and I've received two new reviews in the past two weeks. In the interest of blantant self-promotion, or BSP as it's being called on one of those endless lists all us authors seem to be on, I've decided to post snippets of them here. With thanks to Elise Lyn of Sensual Reads, here's what she had to say about A HARD HABIT TO BREAK and THE BACK STAIRS.

A Hard Habit to Break
A Hard Habit to Break was an amazing read with its strong emotion, pain and finally healing. Heath and Travis had so much emotion pent up in them that they needed to talk and they needed to accept each other for who they are. A story of growing and changing, love and acceptance, A Hard Habit to Break will tug at your emotions and having you rooting for a happy ending for these two. K.C. Kendricks is one author from whom I will be looking for more. Great job!!

The Back Stairs
Taking us into an unknown world, KC Kendricks pens an intriguing novel where we can only see this world if we have enough nerve to go up the Back Stairs. Fallon does, and is surprised at what he finds. Sundown is only the tip of the ice berg. Together, these two will be able to survive the revelations that will shake Fallon’s world. Intriguing and compelling, Back Stairs makes for some thrilling reading and excitement . Back Stairs is another electrifying tale from the pen of KC Kendricks.
I'm quite pleased with those two reviews. Once again, my thanks to Elise Lyn for her kind words.
Now it's time to enjoy the change in the weather. After enduring sweltering heat for six weeks, I'm going out on the patio to enjoy the cool morning, a fresh cup of hot coffee, and the hummingbirds. May you enjoy your Saturday equally.
