NIGHT TRAIN TO NEW ORLEANS

Confusion, danger, and passion heat up the reunion of Italian diamond courier Dante Rocco and his former business-rival-turned-lover, the vampire Alexandros Nicolaides. Alex has never wavered in what Dante means to him, but Dante arrives in New Orleans suddenly unsure of his feelings and the impulsive promise he’d made to leave Italy for America.

In the historic richness of the French Quarter, Dante must decide how he really feels about Alex, even as the powerful ruler of the Louisiana vampires complicates their lives, and Giacomo, the vampire who’d tried to murder them in Naples, arrives on the scene to try again...

NIGHT TRAIN TO VENICE*

Global Diamond Couriers in New Orleans chooses Dante, a human Italian who has been to Venice, to make a major delivery there. Pickpockets seem to be the major threat in Venice, but Dante’s wary vampire lover, Alexandros, also suspects the trip could be life threatening. Diamonds might be a collector’s best friend, but for a courier, the next delivery could mean death, so Alexandros convinces their CEO to send him and Malcolm, the other staff vampire, as bodyguards for Dante.

Malcolm’s steward on the night train to Venice is Nick, a hot, younger man who seduces him into a whirlwind affair. But when Nick appears unannounced in their secret Venetian hotel, he’s sucked into a maelstrom of danger and deceit none of them may survive...

NOTES FROM CAROLINA...

This wasn't intended as a series. It began because I wanted to write my own vampire, and I could see Nicolaides in my head. Although labeled dark fantasy in part, the stories are in contemporary settings, and the characters have lives similar to what yours might be should you be gay and hooked up with a vampire.

When I ended Alex and Dante's story in Naples, it wasn't finished: Giacomo was in the wind. When I finished off Giacomo in New Orleans, I believed my characters still had adventures ahead, and that Malcolm needed his own love story. So I sent them off to fabulous, historic Venice.

Now I suspect the series is complete. But, if it continues to sell well, maybe, just maybe, it is not.

Have a great summer reading!
